The Visa debit and credit cards from Banco General
protect you when shopping on the Internet with the new service Verified
by Visa, which identifies and guarantees that only the cardholder
can use the card when shopping online. To enroll in Verified
by Visa, click
here and register. Enjoy secure online purchases with your Verified
by Visa password!
Enrolling in Verified by Visa is easy; just
follow the activation process instructions. You may either activate
the service online at Banco General’s website or when shopping
in any of the participating
online stores ("Activate When Shopping"),
where personal information will be requested to confirm your identity.
Enrollment in Verified by Visa is free.
After activating your card, Verified by Visa will provide protection
on future purchases from any computer.
Once enrolled in Verified by Visa, just visit the participating online
store of your choice and follow these steps:
- Choose the item you want to purchase.
- Enter your account details and confirm your order at checkout.
- A Verified by Visa window will appear and the password previously
selected when you first enrolled in Verified by Visa must be entered.
- Once your identity is confirmed, a message will appear confirming
that
the transaction has been completed.
- You will be returned to the online store.
