*At a bank or other financial institution
Banking´s digital transformation has provided Access to financial systems to a lot of people. At Banco General we promote this inclusion through our products and digital services.
In 2023, more than 555,600 different savings accounts were opened. For a significant number of clients, this account corresponded to their first banking product.
Also in 2023, of the 146,454 consumer loans offered, 39,500 (27%) went to people who had never had a loan with a financial institution. Likewise, a digital loans product was launched for the first time through the app. To add to these efforts, an objective was defined to increase the penetration of credit products in our mass segments. With these initiatives, the Bank seeks to provide financing to individuals who have not traditionally been able to attain credit and thus achieve greater banking access.
Yappy, the bank’s platform that allows its clients to send or request money with just a cell phone number and make payments to businesses, continues to grow in the country, with more than 1.4 million members by 2023.
